Flowers....

This photo was taken with a Minolta Vectis Advantix Camera (in the days just prior to digital). I remember how thrilled I was once the film had been developed. Currently this photo is blown up, framed and proudly displayed on our wall at home.

Season Change

One day I was out walking with the dog and turned back and saw this tree. Something about it captured my attention, so I quick took the shot. One week later I happened to be at the same place and noticed the complete change.

Dragonfly

I met a woman at a Scouting event back in March who had worked with Mark and Buzz at Stearns Scout Camp a long, long time ago. She wanted to tell this story about Mark and dragonflies. Apparently one year the mosquitoes were particularly bad...thick clouds type bad. Well this increased the population of the dragonflies. She told me that Mark was fascinated by the fact that the second a mosquito landed on his arm, a dragonfly would swoop in and take the mosquito. She always thinks of Mark when she sees dragonflies.

At the cabin opener (6/18/11), this was what stopped to visit us on the hood of the jeep as we were hanging out at the lake.

Amethyst on Snow

I liked this flower that lives at my Mom's lake home. However, the name of the flower (Amethyst on Snow) was enchanting. Every time I look at the flower (and actually know the name), I smile.

Gotcha!

I had been waiting to capture this butterfly that had been teasing me all weekend. Finally as we were about to leave the cabin, he landed and stayed put while I snapped him.
